New album survey and NaNoWriMo

On this video blog, I talk about the upcoming record, and also respond to your requests about what should be on it!  You can add your thoughts by visiting the next album survey here!  You can also pre-order the new record and hopefully laugh out loud when you read over the supporter levels!

  2. I want to pack me and my dogs up, get a camper, chuck my job and be your groupie just for that gorgeous laugh. Except Minnesota has snow and cold and that's where my groupie commitment wanes. So I'll stick to buying CDs

  3. The video blog is a great format for your website. Looking forward to more!

Yay for more acoustic! I love the sound of your voice and the guitar alone -- no fuss, pure and intimate.

  4. Love this format. I had not seen you live until Sisters this year. This does feel very personal. It is great to see and hear you, I look forward to some songs in the future. Until then I have my ipod filled with your scrapbook. Thanks Ellis!

  5. I'm excited to hear that the next album will be some more acoustic! Who needs more than Ellis and a guitar? I love the video blog idea. It's a good way to be a little more personal with your hordes of fans. :) And the supporter levels on your website were hilarious! Peace.

  7. Dear Ellis,

Here is what I have to say: I miss you so.

That pretty much sums it up.

Thank you for creating a video-blog to stay connected - it was great so "see" you and hear your laugh! And - I hope our paths cross again soon.

    Big love,
    annemarie

  8. Iris and Michael just came in from sunset on their way back to their cottage and say "Hi, Ellis, we miss you, come back to Sanibel." They were laughing all through the video...

  9. I loved the video blog ... you made me smile and giggle. Your laugh is infectious and I caught it -- a lot more fun than catching swine flu.

Count me in for another vote for more acoustic. I have both Break the Spell and Undefended Heart, and I always seem to reach for Undefended Heart.

I think it would be so cool to hear works in progress. Even if you have only a few verses or snippets of music, it would be great to hear one or more of your songs evolve.

  10. That was really great for your first time video blogging! Look forward to a song or two from this like you mentioned. You're ready for TV anytime. Talk show, etc. variety... you're easy to listen to at your shows and on screen.

  11. This blog totally made my day, and your laughter is ridiculously contagious. It's really cool that you've started this up. I know it must feel awkward at first talking to the camera and not faces, but you're doing great so far...just be yourself and I'll keep watching/reading! :)

  12. You are so adorable! Met you once, listen to your cds daily and we are completely loving your music. So, how's that for awesome-ness? After just listening to you for the first time at Lyon College we have two of your cds in the car and one in the kitchen. Our daughter, Ellis, has a good bit of them memorized already. Love the video blog, love you....hope to see you again soon.

  13. Sing a little for us -- only a little (don't give it away) but whet our appetite.

  14. I love the videoblog! Don't time it, just keep rambling on. We can't get enough!

Looking forward to the new album! I love the laughter and joy of the acoustic albums, and the instrumentation of Break the Spell as well. Would love to hear it all together. Thanks for just being you!
